music is actually more southern slavic alike (bulgarian / yugoslavian etc.) balkan influenced - not quite russian ! russians use more 1/4 inch accordeons ( bayans / garmoshkas) then a traingle 3-strings mandolines (balalaykas) , domras (huge bass balalaykas) and wood horns (rough sounding flutes) - completely differnet sound.
